Denise Van Outen has revealed she's joining the cast of EastEnders later this year.
Making her debut on the BBC One soap in the spring, she's sure to bring drama to Walford as her character's set to become romantically-involved with a leading male.
Though show bosses will not name names, they've ensured Denise's Albert Square arrival is to "send sparks flying".
Speaking ahead of her first scenes, Denise said: "I'm really excited to be joining EastEnders as I've been a fan of the series for years.
"This year marks the show's 30th anniversary, so it feels even more special to be part of the celebration."
Bosses are equally thrilled about Denise's agreement to join for a "few episodes" having turned down offers three times in the past to join the soap.
Executive Producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins added: "It was only a matter of time before Denise Van Outen walked onto the Square.
'We cannot wait to have Denise join us for a few episodes, where she will definitely make her presence felt."
