Hollyoaks bosses have now confirmed that Danniella Westbrook will return to the Channel 4 soap, reprising her role as Trudy Ryan for another guest stint.

Trudy made her on-screen debut in early 2013, introduced as an old prison acquaintance of the show's now departed Jacqui McQueen.
Speaking to Digital Spy, a Hollyoaks spokesperson confirmed: "We are pleased to be welcoming Danniella back as Trudy for a limited time. She was a great asset to the show in 2013 as part of Jacqui's leaving story."
Portrayed as a ruthless character when she was first on the show, Trudy did her best to make Jacqui's life a misery after hiring her as a cleaner when down on her luck.
Viewers later discovered that a number of illegal dealings included Trudy, such as a dodgy vodka-making business and a human trafficking operation alongside current series regular Trevor Royle (Greg Wood).
Westbrook's best known for playing the role of Sam Mitchell in EastEnders, but she hasn't been in the soap since 2010.
Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with E4 airing first look screenings at 7pm each weekday.
