Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace on 'Back to Ours'
BBC iPlayer are to launch a brand new online series titled EastEnders: Back To Ours.
The on-demand streaming service has created the show which will see a number of the soap's most-popular castmates including Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) and Jessie Wallace (Kat Moon) relive some iconic moments.
Shane said of the project: "What a wonderful time I had sitting on the sofa with Jessie watching 12 years of Kat and Alfie. We laughed, we cried and we giggled as we remembered the past 12 years."
Diane Parish who plays Denise Fox and her on-screen sister Kim - played by Tameka Empson - will be joined by Rudolph Walker (Patrick Trueman), Himesh Patel (Tamwar Masood) and Nitin Ganatra (Masood Ahmed) in the Gogglebox-style show, where viewers will see their reactions to some of their most memorable scenes.
Sitting in their on-screen homes whilst taking a look at the clips, behind-the-scenes gossip will also be shared on their favourite storylines.
'Back to Ours' was commissioned for BBC iPlayer in celebration of the soap's upcoming 30th anniversary and will begin in early January in the run up to the live anniversary week in February.
