Anita Dobson doesn't think she could return to 'EastEnders' because too much time has passed.
The 66-year-old actress became a household name in the 1980s playing Queen Vic landlady Angie Watts, and her volatile marriage with 'Dirty' Den had millions of viewers of the BBC One soap gripped.
Anita left in 1988 and despite many characters returning to Albert Square over the years she doesn't think Walford will beckon again for her.
When asked if she would ever consider returning as Angie, she said: "Well I like to watch it, but I think I've been gone for too long now. I don't think that it could happen."
While Anita was very pleased to see Gillian Taylforth return as Kathy but she wants to focus on new roles.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz about Kathy's shock return at the Ivor Novello Awards in London on Thursday (21.05.15), she said: "Well that's great for her. But no I don't think its for me. I'm working and doing good work and as long as that's happening I'm going to follow that star for as long as I can."
Anita attended the ceremony with her husband, Queen guitarist Brian May.
