A colossal explosion is set to wipe out three famous faces on 'Neighbours'.
The Channel 5 Australian soap is set for a fatal blow next month as three characters lose their lives after they get trapped in the wreckage at Lassiters Hotel in an intense week long special, which will see an hour-long episode focus on the fate of a different individual victim in the disaster.
Speaking to The Digital Spy about the boiler room blast, producer Jason Herbison said: "Hotel Death Trap week might well be the biggest week of 'Neighbours' ever.
"Kicking off with an explosion at Lassiters Hotel, every episode sees brand new stories unfold, including shock returns, mysterious strangers, twists and turns aplenty and jeopardy for all our beloved characters. Tragically, by the time the dust settles, the death count will be up to three."
However, the scenes are believed to be too graphic for its usual day time slot on screen - 1:45pm and 5:30pm - and are consequently scheduled to air at the post-watershed time of 10pm.
Meanwhile, although three actors are set to bow out of the long-running show in a few weeks' time, Ramsay Street will also see the return of a familiar face as Nicola Charles, who plays Sarah Beaumont, will make a shock appearance on April 5.
