The MRI scan reveals that Susan does indeed have MS. She and Karl struggle to come to terms with the news but do their best to remain strong for their children. Zeke remains withdrawn, terrified of losing a third ill parent. Libby finally manages to reach out to him by simply telling him the truth: that they're all scared but that they'll get through it together. Marco leads Carmella to believe he's taking new client Claudia on a date. Although she denies having any interest in the matter beyond legitimate business concerns, she leaps at Rosie's invitation to Charlie's to check out the situation. When she arrives at the bar she sees Marco on his own and can't help but gloat about the fact that he has been stood up. Marco slyly reveals that that there was no date to break: he made the whole thing up to drive Carmella wild with jealousy. And it worked.Kirsten and Ned clash over access to Mickey. Ned and Janae agree that they still don't trust her completely but Kirsten explains that she's fed up of being kept at a safe distance from her own son. She pushes for a definite decision on co-parenting rights but when Ned stalls for more time, impatient Kirsten calls in Tim Collins. Miranda overhears her conversation and reports back to her brother-in-law, leaving them all a little nervous. When Janae sees Kirsten picking Mickey up from school and driving off, she fears the worst. Has Kirsten has taken the law into her own hands again?Bridget tells physio pal Josh that she's giving up on her rehabilitation. Josh is distinctly unimpressed, pointing out that she's turning her back on an opportunity he'll never have. He'll always be in his wheelchair but she has a chance at a full recovery. Shamed into facing her self-pity head on, Bridget heeds his words and heads back to the pool. With Josh as her training partner and motivator, she throws herself back into rehab with enthusiasm.
