Janae steels herself to tell Ned the truth about her confrontation with Kirsten but angry Ned already knows and warns Janae not to mess up his custody battle. After wise words from Steve and Miranda, Ned and Janae make amends but their peace is short-lived when the Police arrive and issue Janae an official caution for threatening Kirsten. To make things worse, Mickey overhears and yells at Janae for being mean to his mum. Ned steps in to defend Janae against Mickey’s insults and Mickey yells that he hates them both! Concerned about the imminent psychological assessment, Ned begs Toadie to change the date. But Tim won’t play ball and Ned and Janae are forced to front up with Mickey who immediately runs into his mum’s arms.
