A bewildered Paul recognizes Gail and is distressed to learn of his divorce, forcing Elle to consider how much she should tell her father about his damaged past.Oliver stems his desire to run to Elle’s aid and is frustrated when he cannot contact Carmella to go in his stead. When he discovers Ringo and Carmella frolicking in the pool, Ollie’s annoyed that Carmella has failed to keep her promise to support Elle. The lovers argue until eventually both end up apologizing, each refusing to strike the final blow to end the relationship they are only just managing to preserve.Janae’s dependence on Ned increases as he assists her to service cars at the garage. Janae’s quietly impressed with Ned’s handiwork but remains reserved in her praise. When protective Ned notices that Janae has a neck injury he whisks her off to hospital. Janae is cautioned to cease boxing training, but lies to Ned about her diagnosis and pretends that all is well. When Rosie tries to reconnect with her mother over lunch with Frazer, all seems to go well. Frazer and Rosie manage to allay Lucia’s initial apprehensions concerning Frazer’s deceptive past. But when a stunned Lucia discovers Frazer is wheelchair-bound she fears for her daughter’s future. Lucia warns Rosetta against marrying a dependent man, insisting Rosetta will be making the biggest mistake of her life.
