Fuelled by the recent attacks, Colleen and Irene can only assume the worst when it comes to Miles’s reasons for being there and instantly confront him over the intrusion. Sally, on the other hand, is keen to know if she can do anything to help; without being asked, she hands over as much of the party food as Miles can carry before allowing him to make his escape. As the next morning brings with it yet worse for the newcomer, who wakes up outdoors only to be greeted by Colleen furiously brandishing a watering can at him, Sally remains preoccupied with the incident on the beach and reluctantly opens up to Rachel about the name in the sand. A sympathetic Rachel reassuringly suggests that recent events may have set off unresolved issues from her childhood and encourages her to consider therapy – but, as later appears to be the case when she shares a drink with Miles, perhaps playing Good Samaritan to the man with whom she seems to share an inexplicable connection is all the therapy Sally really needs.A cock and bull storyWhile visiting a comatose Dom in hospital, Belle is distracted by another patient raging in his room and instinctively goes to investigate. There the terrifying transformation Reverend Hall seems to have undergone is enough for her to get snap-happy; the budding journo in her just can’t let the opportunity for a newsworthy photo exclusive pass her by. Evidence in hand, Belle returns to the caravan park to break the news of the Bay’s latest scandal to Ric’s guests. It’s only when she manages to grab Cassie for a one-to-one chat that she finally comes clean about her sources and explains her dilemma: if she takes the photo to work and it’s printed, how will Drew react to finding out that she went to see Dom? Her worries are fast forgotten as she decides to publish the photo anonymously – only to have her plans backfire when she discovers that, the Reverend having been diagnosed with a brain tumour, she’s reported just half the story.

As if that wasn't bad enough, it doesn’t take long for the recently returned Morag, now acting in Hall’s interests, to work out that the glory-seeking Belle is the one behind the front-page scoop – and to expose the fact of her hospital visit to a puzzled Drew.
