Unsurprisingly, Henk’s return is met with a mixed reception. While Cassie is delighted to have him back, Sally can only see trouble brewing and makes it immediately clear that he won’t be welcome under her roof. The next morning, before Sally has had time to warn her that he’s back, Rachel is left shaken after running into Henk on the beach; as old issues resurface, she can’t help but suspect him of being the writer of the poison-pen letters. A guilty Sally appeases the situation by making it clear to him and Cassie that they won’t be welcome at the barbecue – something they don’t seem too concerned about while they enjoy a luxury break in The Sands together – and hopes it’ll give them both time to think. Little does she know when she later plays peacemaker by offering them a caravan that Henk’s already making plans for him and Cassie to leave the Bay – but will she want to go?The wanderers returnHaving been on the road with Martha for three days, Michael is pleased when they stop off at a small coastal town to find that both work and accommodation are available. But while he proposes that they take this as a sign to stay put, Martha is clearly preoccupied; the sight of a happy bride and groom only serves to remind her once again of Jack and Sam, and she’s keen to move on. By the time they’ve ventured to the next town things have failed to improve. Martha’s attempts at convincing Michael that this is the place for them have little effect – not least once he discovers that there are no jobs going and rents are expensive – and he soon realises that this all stems from her need to get over Jack. The resulting argument going nowhere, he drives her back to the Bay and warns that, unless she takes the opportunity to deal with her unfinished business, they’ll have no future together. Time to party

Meanwhile, preparations are in full swing for Jack and Sam’s pre-wedding barbecue – which, with Dan making his break to America two months ahead of Leah, will also double up as a farewell party.

Despite the fallout from Henk’s return, the celebrations are a huge success, and after fighting off some tough competition in the form of Colleen, Rachel finds in Roman a welcome distraction from her troubles. The only real hitch comes in the form of Rory’s games, which see big kid Jack bumping into his fiancée and giving her a nosebleed – but even that can’t curb her enthusiasm for the big day.

In fact, Jack hasn't seen Sam so happy, and after the cleanup has been completed the happy couple relax by themselves as they contemplate their future together. Unbeknownst to them both, however, an anxious Martha is watching on. What’s she planning?
