Jack having recovered the missing belongings from some kids on the highway, a shamefaced Brad rushes over to apologise to Tam for his earlier rash accusation. She reluctantly agrees to give him a second chance and, wanting to feel more a part of the family, decides to join him when he next visits Pippa at the hospital. There, after witnessing a certain spark between him and Sally, Tam realises she has a chance to play cupid; it’s only on the strength of Tam’s conviction that Sally later goes to see Brad in the hope of persuading him to move back home. Meanwhile, Lewis is causing a stir at the hospital – and, except where Rachel is concerned, for all the wrong reasons. Sam’s ignored request for him to check a pain medication dosage prompts their second major work-related clash, complicated further by the patient’s later collapse.

Although the incident turns out to be unrelated to Lewis’s negligence, Sam can’t help but deliver him with a final warning – only to be faced with a threat in return.

Worse still, Sam is going to be seeing much more of him than she’d like. Having confided in Leah about her bad day at work, she later winds up walking in on Rachel and Lewis together back at the house.

It turns out that Rachel has stepped down as his supervisor so that they can pursue a hassle-free relationship.
