Picture the scene: you've finally rid your house of an unwelcome intruder you know the kind, stealing your wine, flirting with your husband and just generally making a nuisance of herself and just as you thought the coast was clear, the she-devil puts in a reappearance; but this time she's worse than ever. Can you tell who it is yet? Yes, Jazz is back from a short trip to the city (so short, in fact, that you may not even have noticed she'd gone), and she's even more determined to get Drew onside; so much so that, when Drew accidentally damages the Surf Club's pool table, she steps in to foot the bill for its repair. He's not all that impressed his respect can't be bought but does revel in the fact that Jazz defends his actions to Dan and Leah. "What's wrong with a bit of time off?" she answers to their interrogations as to why Drew has yet to find a job. If Leah's managed so far to share her house with the wine-guzzling, ethically challenged man-eater, Jazz's attempts to allow Drew to shirk his responsibilities come as the final straw. "You're no longer welcome in this house. I want you gone in the morning," she spits. With a little help from her friendsMeanwhile, Rachel is struggling to adjust to life without Kim. Her house just doesn't feel like home anymore, and she can't help thinking about what might have been had she only chosen Hugh. It's enough to drive her to theft - well, sort of. When Cassie draws attention to a postcard from Hugh that has arrived for Martha at the Surf Club, Rachel can't help but sneak it away so that she can write to him. Leah's already warned her that she needs to let the dust settle first it's not, after all, going to be the biggest confidence boost for Hugh, knowing that the potential love of his life has changed her mind about being with him because she herself has just been dumped but it's advice that goes unheeded... for a while, at least. Having written the letter, Rachel gives herself some time to reflect before realising that it's too much too soon.
Temper, temper!
Alf's health problems are still playing on his mind, and Drew and Cassie have already fallen victim to his correspondingly grim temper: Cassie, for having yet to work out where her loyalties lie after Drew wrecks the Surf Club's pool table and she doesn't say anything; Drew, for being said vandal and failing to own up to his actions.
Although Alf realises that he may have been too harsh with the youngsters, his friends are having a hard time convincing him that he'll bounce back to his usual (slightly) less grumpy self after medical treatment. Let's hope so, for everyone's sakes.
