Does anybody know how long Jules is in the show for, please? By stealing Alex's motorbike and ploughing it into a ditch, you can only assume that he was valiantly trying to write himself out of the programme. You wish he'd tried a little harder. Although his injuries are worthy of a hospital visit, he decides that clutching his gouged stomach and wincing is the best way to heal himself. Drew might not be the sharpest scythe in the shed at the best of times, but he soon twigs that his mate was the one behind the bike theft and hurries home to confront him. Somebody else with a few probing questions to ask is Constable Holden, who soon starts rapping on the door with his truncheon. Drew unhappily covers for Jules, but he's furious about being forced into lying to the police. "If you get busted," he hisses, "I'm toast too." And we wouldn't want both of them to disappear, would we?Kept in suspenseNaomi's smutty travails are still haunting Summer Bay like a ghastly phantom in a Cornish ruin, but Brad has unwisely been ignoring the rattling of chains. The eternally-concerned Sally has been furrowing her brow even more than usual, thinking that Brad is taking the Department's (squeal!) investigation into his handling of the affair rather too casually. "Brid" assures her that the meeting he's having with their representative, Doctor Lang, is a formality only and that they'll be slapping each other's backs at the 19th Hole by suppertime. However, he couldn't have been more wrong. Their comfortable chinwag turns out to be a grilling by a full panel of hard-faced interviewers, who are unimpressed that Brad took Naomi's side. "She chose to protect her position instead of putting Lucas first", sneers Lang, while giving Brad the kind of look that leaves him feeling as though he's just been at the hands of a taxidermist. "Surely your first duty of care was to Lucas Holden?" It's a fair point. And before you can say "Promotion for Sally", Brad is suspended from his position. Jules thief

The cops have found Alex's motorbike - in several large chunks - and discovered some of Jules's internal organs scattered around the crash site too.

Seeing as though the bike belonged to his brother Chris, Alex begins to panic even more about his cash flow - but Saint Sally tells him that she's happy to wait for the rent on his van. Hell, for Sally's information, isn't showing any signs of freezing over just yet.

Cassie works hard to calm Alex down, and he can't help flirting by way of return. Meanwhile, Belle cottons on to the fact that Jules twocked the motorbike and urges Drew to stop protecting his mate. Their bickering turns into flirting, and a playfight with a fire extinguisher only serves to reignite their amour. Back at home, Jules collapses neatly and gently on the floor. But he's finally forced to admit to his light-fingered ways when Dan and Leah discover his injuries and Drew drops by to point the finger. Jules is left seething at what he sees as the ultimate betrayal.
