While Martha dodges lecherous Lou’s presumptuous paws and screams for help, Cam gurns thoughtfully over his whisky out in the club. He finally decides to step in and save the Marth, to Lou’s frustration. “You blew it,” he slobbers, tearing up the contract he’s just signed. Lou hides his dismay and escorts Martha to safety, pretending he had no idea what Lou was expecting. Martha makes it clear that she’s never going to be working at the Rocket club again, to which Cam grunts, “After tonight there might not be a club to work at.” Cam admits he’s on the breadline and reminds Martha this pickle is all Jack’s fault.Cash and carryThe next day, Jack spots the Eyebrow sweet talking his beefcake friends on the beach, promising to pay them part of what he owes. “I’d say you’re up to your neck in debt,” Jack smirks when the two collide in the diner. Colleen’s all flustered and understaffed, battling with troublemaking yoots and overdue burgers, moaning loudly that she hasn’t had time to empty the $2000 from the till. Cam’s hairy ears prickle and the next thing you know, the till is empty and the Eyebrow’s nowhere to be found. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what’s happened, so Jack calls in on his nemesis. Cam’s outraged at his accusations, flinging him out of the door. But when Cam magically comes up with a solution to his money troubles, Martha starts to doubt him. In all the madness, Cam seems to have left his brain in the diner; he leaves his shady black hold-all in the kitchen when he slopes off for a shower. Of course, Martha dips inside and finds bundles of stolen cash.Teacher's petTony’s climbing up the walls, tiptoeing around Beth’s discarded suitcase when a pretty blonde wafts through the door. She introduces herself as Naomi, a tutor from the writing camp – she’s looking for Lucas. Naomi is Summer Bay’s sparkly new English teacher, and she’s due at the diner for a meeting with Sally. Conversation turns to Lucas, her inspiration for coming to the Bay. When it transpires that Lucas will actually be in her English class, Naomi turns ghostly pale. Her holiday romance was a child! “This changes everything,” she swoons when the two meet. Lucas dives in for some sofa action, but Naomi protests. He lied to her, goddamnit. This simply can’t continue. “So you’re going to see me everyday and pretend you feel nothing?” Lucas wails. Well, she’s going to have to try…
