Some things just can't be prevented. Night following day. Taxes going up. Sally taking in waifs and strays like Summer Bay House is made of gingerbread. That's right, silly Lily is the latest troubled teenager to find herself with her feet under Sally's table on a permanent basis. After all, there was no way Sal was going to pack her off to some skanky, cockroach-riddled refuge in Yabbie Creek. And no sooner has Lils accepted this offer then she goes about getting herself a new lurve interest. Outside the diner, Jules is struggling to fix his bike - and surprise greasemonkey Lily lends a helping hand. Lily seems to think Jules is pretty cool, but Cassie, Matilda and Ric don't agree. Belle, meanwhile, is particularly unimpressed with the boy - especially after she spotted him throwing his dodgy bike registration plates in the diner dumpster. Later, Drew and Jules are flying along on the bike - which, it turns out, Jules twocked from a rich school chum - when Drew's nerves get the better of him. He screeches at Jules to slow down and, when they finally come to a standstill, berates him for nearly having them both killed. Jules tells Drew to chill the heck out - but you can guarantee that he won't be doing so for a very long time...Punch and moody Kangaroo-hopping swiftly past the news that Leah is off to Greece to break her brother out of jail Michael Scofield-style - don't worry, we're sure she'll be back in a couple of weeks looking nice and tanned - we bring you the revelation that today is Lily's birthday. Nobody had any idea. Also nobody has any clue as to how old she is, as she looks frightfully young but has the voice of a woman who's lived through two world wars. Sally agrees that they can hold a party, and Drew and Jules soon turn up (with a bottle of Peter's whiskey in tow). After a couple of drinks, Jules decides that it would be an ace idea to have a crack at snogging Lily - and you can imagine how this goes. Ric asks him to leave via the universal language of a punch in the face, and this upsets Lil even more. "Don't you touch me Ric", she squeaks, as she hurriedly packs her bags. "You're just like Kyle." Although Ric tries to explain his actions, Lily zips off to the Yabbie Creek hostel without so much as a goodbye. Happy birthday Lily! That went well, didn't it?
