Still reeling from Amanda's announcement, Kelli has to do some serious back pedalling to convince her sister that she's making a mistake. It takes about three hours, and she really has to go round the houses, but her efforts eventually pay off when she reminds Amanda that she ought to keep quiet for the sake of her children. However, just because Mandy isn't going to confess to the cops, it doesn't mean that she won't keep Ethan's "death" a complete secret. That afternoon, Amanda is about to bite the bullet and tell Belle all about the nightmarish events when Kelli jumps in and throws her off the scent by saying that Amanda is feeling guilty about cheating on Peter! Belle is shocked but insists she will support her mother no matter what (obviously her personality transplant was a success). Later, Belle comments to Kelli that she thinks her mother should come clean. But Kelli snaps and tells Belle to keep her big yap shut. Belle is taken aback by this previously unseen side to her supposedly lovely auntie, but let's face it - they're all chips off the same block. Somebody's on Sam's trail...At the Surf Club, the preparations for the hospital ball are in full swing. Colleen barks orders to Kim and Jack, who are trying their best to string up lights, whilst Rachel and Irene help to decorate the place. Meanwhile, Sam helps Rory get ready for his big event in the Surf Carnival. As the clock ticks by, he becomes increasingly anxious that Jack hasn't arrived yet - and he's gutted when his father figure misses the whole thing. Sam gives Jack the rollicking of a lifetime before sending him to the doghouse without supper. Later, after he insists that Rory and Sam are his number one priority, Sam softens towards him slightly.

"I only want us to be a family, with no more problems", she sighs. But little does she know that, down at the Surf Club, a man called Rusty has been charming Colleen.

He waves a photo of Sam in her face and says that he's trying to track down his friend. Colleen, of course, gives him all the details he needs. And once she's scuttled off, Rusty takes another look at the photo before flashing his vampire fangs. He's one step closer to finding the woman who betrayed him...
