Jack is horrified by the fact Ash has lied to Martha and not yet ended his marriage to Rianna. He can't believe it; she deserves so much better. And as Ash later fails to tell Martha the truth for yet another time, Jack decides to do it himself. Reeling, Martha drives to Ash's house and knocks on the door. Rianna is surprised to see her, but ushers her inside. The first thing Martha sees is Ash playing with his kids, happy as larry. He tries to explain, but Martha won't hear a word of it. "Go back to your family, Ash", she insists, when he later approaches her back in Summer Bay. We take it that it's all over, then. That evening, a glum Martha arrives home to an empty house. She slumps and looks at the necklace Ash gave he before closing her fist around it and having a good old whinge. Ash is gone - and it really hurts. Never mind, love! Plenty more fish in the sea, and all that. And most of them aren't two-timing scumbags either. When Cassie gets back to the city after her day in the bay, she pretends to Macca that she's been hanging around the apartment all the time. However, when Macca takes a call from Sally saying that Cassie left her jumper behind, his face darkens. When asked why she lied, Cassie explains that she didn't want to get into a fight with him, so kept it to herself. To this, Macca insists that he'd have understood. After all, her family's in a lot of pain right now and he'd hate to think she was walking on eggshells to avoid him blowing up. That evening, he makes her a special dinner in order to demonstrate his love for her. Unfortunately, said meal is Moroccan chicken with green olives and Cassie clearly wishes he'd decided to express himself with the Domino's menu. Still, he's better than him doing the talking with his fists, isn't it? Yes, it is. But we're not sure how long it'll last...
