Sarah's (Loui Batley) engagement news sets the village abuzz with excitement. But John Paul (James Sutton) has a plan to separate Sarah and Craig (Guy Burnet) forever, and manages to get Craig in a passionate clinch upstairs at The Dog. Danny (David Judge) is like a kid in a sweetshop when he and Calvin (Ricky Whittle) pop in to the Dog for a drink and end up in the middle of an engagement party. He only has eyes for one woman: Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe). It's Katy's (Hannah Tointon) birthday and Justin's (Chris Fountain) ashamed of the tiny present he can afford to buy her. She loves it, but Warren (Jamie Lomas) shoves it aside to show off the expensive gift he got for his sister. Justin and Warren come to blows and ruin Katy's special day.
