Hollyoaks have this weekend announced that Amy Robbins will be coming to the show in a guest star role as Lynette Drinkwell; mother to Scott Drinkwell and sister to Diane O’Connor.
Speaking about the role, Robbins said: “It’s great to be a part of the Hollyoaks family. I’ve been made to feel so welcome as the newest member of the Drinkwell clan. They’re so lovely and such fun.”
Arriving in the village to support her son following his recent heartbreak, Lynette begins to worry about Scott’s behaviour when she experiences his attitude following a few drinks. With that in her mind, who knows when she’ll be able to deliver her life-changing news?
No clues have been given about the secret Lynette is keeping, but it’s sure to bring yet another bombshell to the small village of Hollyoaks.
Robbins has starred in The Royal in the past, as well as World’s End, Noah’s Ark and Casualty. She’s also been in successful movies such as All The Little Animals and Killing Me Softly.
Lynette’s first on-screen appearance is on Tuesday, March 21 at 7pm on E4. The episode repeats on Channel 4 at 6.30pm on Wednesday, March 22. Hollyoaks continues weekdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 7pm on E4.
