The McQueens keep a vigil beside Carmel's (Gemma Merna) hospital bed. Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) is worried about her sister, but wants to know what she was doing in Russ's (Stuart Manning) arms. Justin (Chris Fountain) is delighted when Katy (Hannah Tointon) wakes up. He apologises for the way he has behaved and she tells him that she wants to get back together. Jessica (Jennifer Biddall) tells Danny (David Judge) to keep quiet about the boiler he fixed at the halls, but Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) finds out that the carbon monoxide leak was their fault and hunts them down.
