Max (Matt Littler) pays Clare (Gemma Bissix) a visit. With nobody around, a vulnerable and scared Clare is told by Max to speak to social services and set her wrongs right. Clare claims Max is too weak minded and threatens to change her statement to say Max pushed her and not Warren (Jamie Lomas). Max loses his temper and attacks Clare, but will he ever get Tom (Ellis Hollins) back? Nana McQueen (Diane Langton) fusses over Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe). While Mercedes books appointments to view luxury flats, Russ (Stuart Manning) returns with a new job, but it's not quite what Mercedes had in mind. Feeling pangs of guilt she confides in a priest. Calvin (Ricky Whittle) visits Louise (Roxanne McKee). She tells him she remembers nothing from the night of Clare's attack. He explains that they should use each other as alibis.

The two end up in bed and although he may lie to the police to protect them both, he realises he doesn't want Louise.
