When Aaron overhears Chas having a chat with Paddy about her concerns, his reservations about Robert continue to plague his mind. Receiving a visit from his lover later on, he tells him that their fling is over. Priya's busy at the salon and so Nicola offers to take Amba out for a walk, but when it begins to lash down with rain, she takes shelter with the baby in a barn, before realising that they're locked in. Unable to phone for help, just how is Priya going to react when Nicola fails to return with her daughter? Rachel's offered a job in Luton, and Chrissie begins to wonder if her son Lachlan might be gay.

Nicola and Amba are still missing, and so Jimmy speaks to the police telling them he's not quite sure what she's capable of. James arrives to the barn and is stunned when he finds Nicola and Amba there, ushering her and the child back to the village before Nicola's promptly taken away by the police. Meanwhile, Lachlan's hopeful about the future, and Jai's touched when Megan tells him to make the most of his time with Archie.

As the talk of the village, Nicola's quick to tackle the gossip head-on, whilst Jimmy dreams up the perfect way of making amends and winning her back, before deciding to dress up like Tom Cruise's character from Top Gun and serenading her in the pub. David explains to Alicia that Lachlan's got a huge crush on her, and so she decides to return a handbag he's bought for her saying it wouldn't be fair if she kept it. Unaware of how he's now feeling, Chrissie's concerns mount for her son, and Cain lies to Moira when he goes to visit Charity in prison with Noah.

In a special hour-long episode, Alicia returns home after a few birthday drinks, suggesting to Lachlan that he close the shop early and stick around to make coffee. Meanwhile, Chrissie's disturbed by the images she finds on her son's camera, and Rachel prepares to leave the village with Archie, leaving Megan in an awkward situation - will she tell Jai?

Lachlan insists he cannot go to school because of his health, but when he comes out with something that shocks his mother and leaves her sickened, he may have crossed the line.
