Natalie Anderson feared she would be axed from 'Emmerdale'.
The brunette beauty - who plays stunning barmaid Alicia Harding on the ITV soap - panicked she might be axed from the programme when she heard her character was going to be shot during a dramatic pub siege.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I got back off holiday in June and went into work and Matthew Wolfenden (David Metcalfe) said to me, 'You know you get shot by Cameron.' This happens a lot - people say, 'Oh, you're the next one,' and everyone says, 'Yeah, whatever.'
"But then everyone started coming up and saying, 'Oh my goodness, you're next.' I rang the producer, Kate Oates, and said, 'Can I have a meeting with you, because I'm really worried about all these things that I'm hearing?' I was really scared, if I'm honest, because we never take this job for granted."
Viewers saw Alicia rushed off in an ambulance last night (16.10.13), after being shot by Cameron Murray (Dominic Power), and tonight's (17.10.13) double bill will see Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) trapped in the flooded Woolpack cellar with the unhinged gunman.
Lucy was also left wondering whether Chas' time could be up since the stunts on the programme have been getting increasingly dramatic.
She explained to the Daily Star newspaper: "Before we used to have a six-month build-up to a big stunt and everyone was like, 'Oh, is it my time?' Now we have something massive happening almost every month so we're always on our toes.
"We love doing the job. It's that fear of thinking, 'I won't get to do this anymore because I love it so much.' I don't want to think of not being in 'Emmerdale'."
'Emmerdale' airs on ITV tonight at 7pm.
