'Emmerdale's Tracy Shankley will be left heartbroken later this week when David Metcalfe knocks her back - again.
The unlucky-in-love tart - portrayed by Amy Walsh - was just touching distant from getting her happy ever after with the shop owner (Matthew Wolfenden) but things are set to crumble before her eyes this week when the hunk finds out his father Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) told her about his cancer scare.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Amy said: "When David finds out Tracy knows [about his cancer scare], he is cross and makes it clear he doesn't want her sympathy.
"He doesn't actually speak to her for a few weeks, which is sad for Tracy, but slowly she wins back his trust."
Meanwhile, David's battle with testicular cancer is set to continue for many months as he goes through the debilitating treatment, and the actor has admitted he's been forced to shave his head, his eyebrows and eyelashes for the storyline.
The 35-year-old actor said recently: "I'm about to shave my head and lose my eyebrows, eyelashes - everything. I've always had facial hair so it will be a first for me."
But, although the star had no problem taking a razor to his hair, he has admitted his five-year-old son Buster, whom he has with his partner Charley Webb, burst into tears when he first told him he'd have no eyebrows or eyelashes for a while.
