Emmerdale's Priya Sharma will punish David using their unborn child.
The beautiful barmaid - played by Fiona Wade - is hopeful that she can win back her ex-fiance (Matthew Wolfenden), after he ditched her at the altar, by taking him to see the scan of their unborn child.
Fiona said: "She feels like the control is back in her corner. She still loves David and she thinks seeing their baby could sway him. They're together and he's really engrossed in the scan and excited about the baby. She believes that it might be the thing that makes him realise it is her he loves and not Alicia."
However, when Priya makes a move on him and he rejects her for the second time by telling her he's marrying Alicia Harding (Natalie Anderson), she realises she can use their baby to manipulate him.
Fiona explained: "It's going to be complicated. David's never going to be out of her life now and, if she has to, Priya will use the baby to punish him. The baby is all she has got."
Things are set to turn even nastier when she finds out that Alicia's ex-boyfriend Dominic Andrews (Wil Johnson) knew about David's proposal before she did.
Speaking to Soaplife magazine, Fiona said: "She's not happy. It's gutting to hear that an ex is getting married, but even worse when everyone else has known. Priya realises David's been planning his wedding for weeks when all along she thought he might change his mind."
