Gray (Christopher Villiers) spots Matthew's (Matt Healy) car at the garage and sneakily plants some false evidence inside. The police carry out a search and inform Gray that they have found one of Rosemary's cardigan buttons in the vehicle. Perdy (Georgia Slowe) comes home to find Gray in tears and he blurts out that Matthew has killed his mother. Perdy desperately tries to warn her lover, but Matthew is arrested on suspicion of murder. Has Gray finally nailed his nemesis?Also, Jack (Clive Hornby) forces himself to tell Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) that things will be ok between them but after some soul searching he later backtracks and reveals that he wasn't being honest with her. Diane is heartbroken and rushes out, leaving Jack regretful that he can't forgive and forget. Diane confides in Val (Charlie Hardwick) that her marriage is over, but is it?Meanwhile, Paul (Mathew Bose) is distraught when he has to tell Val he's moving away, but she fully supports his decision. She tells Paul and Jonny (Richard Grieve) that she will be happy wherever they choose to be, as long as they keep a spare room available for her.
