Marlon (Mark Charnock) is still livid about Ross (Samuel Anderson) and Donna (Verity Rushworth) and when Ross arrives back Marlon shoves him against the door, demanding he admits what's going on between them, Ross is stunned. He tries to reason with Marlon but there's no stopping him and as he continues to swing for Ross and miss him, he gets more and more frustrated. Eventually, Ross gets fed up and angrily punches Marlon, telling him that he should put as much effort into his marriage as he does into thinking about who might be trying to ruin it. Will Marlon put his paranoia behind him and accept Ross and Donna are nothing more than colleagues?Meanwhile, Doug (Duncan Preston) and Hilary (Paula Wilcox) are bickering as they put the finishing touches to Daniel's christening gown. Hilary angrily questions whether Doug ever spared a thought for her feelings when he was flirting with Lily (Anne Charleston)? As they continue to argue, Doug accidentally spills red wine over the christening gown. Will they be able to find a way to save the gown or will the christening be ruined?Elsewhere, the Bishop (Peter Cartwright) thanks Emily (Kate McGregor) for her help and comments that it's clear she is a great support to people in their times of need. Over a drink in the Woolpack, the bishop asks Emily if she'd be prepared to leave the village if a worthwhile proposition arose, and delighted Emily says that she would. Meanwhile gossip is spreading round the village that there's something going on between the bishop and Emily. Is she going to leave Emmerdale?
