When Jack (Clive Hornby) and Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) return home the next day, Diane's given a mixed reception from Daz (Luke Tittensor) and Victoria (Isabel Hodgins). When Diane tries to make the peace with Victoria she's shocked to hear her step-daughter declare that she doesn't consider Diane family, but as the woman her dad married. Diane faces further problems when a worried Daz shares his concerns about a dejected Billy (David Crellin), forcing Diane to accompany him on a prison visit. Meanwhile Jack reveals to an inquisitive Val (Charlie Hardwick) Diane's almost affair, but Val quietly doubts Diane's claims that it was with John the drayman.
