Matthew (Matt Healy) pillories Gray (Christopher Villiers) for his treatment of Perdy (Georgia Slowe), and Gray takes out his frustrations on Paul (Mathew Bose). Sensing his loneliness and despair, Paul invites Gray out for lunch. However, Gray reacts badly to the attention thrust upon him in the Woolpack and turns to drink to block it out. When Matthew publicly humiliates him, Gray storms out and leaves with Paul. As Paul later comforts him, Gray leans in and kisses him, asking him to spend the night. Are they both about to betray poor Perdy?Elsewhere, Carrie (Linda Lusardi) is beside herself after a sleepless night with Scarlett (Kelsey-Beth Crossley) missing. A returning Lexi (Sally Oliver) asks after Daz (Luke Tittensor) after hearing that he's been buying provisions in the village. Certain that he's hiding Scarlett, she follows him to the woods and is proven right. Can she persuade Scarlett to return to the village?Meanwhile, Jimmy (Nick Miles) brings Carrie to Home Farm after a night of searching for Scarlett. Kelly's (Adele Silva) senses are heightened when Carrie snaps at her, and Jimmy appears to be hiding something. Convinced that Carrie's told Jimmy about the abortion, Kelly's relieved when Jimmy eventually reveals Carrie's secret to her. Finding Carrie, Kelly warns her that should Jimmy ever find out about the abortion, she'll be sure to tell Scarlett about Lexi. Will the two women keep schtum?
