Diane's (Elizabeth Estensen) doing her best to avoid talking to Jack (Clive Hornby) about their problems, leaving him concerned. When she visits Billy (David Crellin), he puts pressure on her to carry on where they left off, and tells her that she'll have to choose between him and Jack. When Jack tries once more to talk things through, Diane shocks him when she declares that she needs some distance. With Diane's bags packed, will her mini-break from Jack turn into a one-way ticket?Elsewhere Ashley (John Middleton) visits Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and the new baby at hospital. Her joy soon turns to disappointment when he tells her that her parents are busy with her sister Caroline, and won't be visiting for days. Will this spark another family feud?Meanwhile Donna (Verity Rushworth) dodges question after question about her estrangement from Marlon (Mark Charnock). Later Bob (Tony Audenshaw) attempts to comfort a glum Marlon who says there's nothing anyone can do.
