Carl (Tom Lister) comments that Barraclough's (Glynis Barber) life is all about her work and asking whether she gets lonely, she dodges the question. Carl begins to feel guilty about using her. Elsewhere, Kelly (Adele Silva) tells Jimmy (Nick Miles) she has given up on modelling and although he persuades her not too, he is pleased she just wants to spend time with him. Kelly is reluctant when Jimmy asks her again to apologise to Carrie (Linda Lusardi), and is shocked when the police arrive to question her about assaulting Carrie. Despite getting in trouble last time for lying to the police, Kelly denies hitting Carrie, a lie Jimmy supports.
