Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) is still acting coolly towards Jack (Clive Hornby) following the cancellation of the holiday, and accuses him of putting everybody else before her, leaving him feeling guilty. Over at the pub, Val (Charlie Hardwick) unintentionally rubs salt in the wound by asking Diane if she's looking forward to her holiday, whilst bragging about her and Billy's (David Crellin) trip. Meanwhile, Jack tries to say it with flowers when attempting to make amends, but conscious that Billy's listening, Diane shrugs it off. When Billy later makes it clear that he'd rather go away with her over Val, will Diane give into her feelings?Elsewhere, Carrie (Linda Lusardi) marches into the Kings' office and takes up residence at one of the desks, leaving Matthew (Matt Healy) distinctly put out. However this is nothing compared to when she makes it clear her intention to come to Jimmy's (Nick Miles) rescue in Zeebrugge where he's messed up a business contract. Matthew, unable to shake her off, is resigned to her accompanying him out there. Will her first business trip be a resounding success?Meanwhile, Duke (Dicken Ashworth) continues to infiltrate Terry's life (Billy Hartman) like a bull in a china shop. The final straw comes when Terry sees TJ (Connor Lee) sporting a pair of boxing gloves sparring with Duke. Are Duke and Terry the next pair to come to blows?
