Tamzin Outhwaite thinks a return to 'EastEnders' would be impossible.
The 45-year-old actress has admitted she'd love to reprise her role as Melanie Owen - a part she played for almost four years until 2002 - in the long-running soap but believes making a return to Walford in the future wouldn't work because there is no one, who she previously worked with, left for her character to visit.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "I'd definitely think about it but I've never been asked. I'm not sure if my character has reason to go back, though, as she's got no family there. But I had a lovely time doing 'EastEnders'. It's just not something I've had to think about."
However, although she'd love to head back to Albert Square, the blonde beauty has admitted she hasn't watched the show since her departure 14 years ago because she can't shake the memories of being backstage at the fictional Queen Victoria pub.
She explained: "Every now and again I'll try and watch some of the show, but it's very difficult to watch something that you've been in - because you've already been in that pub, you know what's beyond the wall and you know where the cameras are. It's quite difficult to just lose yourself in it."
Although Tamzin has never been asked by show bosses to return, she doesn't think she could cope with the gruelling schedule required to make the four episodes-a-week programme.
Speaking previously, the mother of two - who has daughters Florence, seven, and three-year-old Marnie with her ex-husband Tom Ellis - said: "I don't know if I've ever been available long enough. You have to give up a chunk (of time) don't you and I suppose that scares me the idea of committing for a long period."
