Feisty Louise Mitchell is set to make her comeback to Albert Square, with the daughter of Lisa Fowler and Phil Mitchell now played by 18-year-old actress Tilly Keeper.
Though storylines surrounding her return are being kept underwraps, it could be linked to Phil's current struggles with control over his drinking.
Last seen in August 2010 after she'd been living with Phil, Louise was reunited with her mother after Peggy Mitchell feared her son was in no state to look after his daughter.
Shortly after Phil had turned up to visit his daughter, and was left reeling to discover both her and Lisa had vanished.
Now 14, Louise has a bad relationship with her mother and is determined to become a 'proper Mitchell', but how will she be able to fit in with the rest of the Mitchell clan?
Keeper says of joining the show: "I am so thrilled to be joining the cast of EastEnders, especially to be joining the Mitchell clan! It's a dream come true and I can't wait to get stuck into the role and see what lies in store for Louise."
Louise's first scenes will be shown on the soap early next year.
