There are big things headed Albert Square’s way. Though EastEnders seems to be generating less buzz than usual – only picking up a single award at this year’s British Soap Awards – those working on the show could be planning a major storyline for the summer that will turn heads.

One of the actresses involved in upcoming tense scenes is Lorna Fitzgerald, who plays Abi Branning.
Speaking to Inside Soap, the actress explained: “It’s all really exciting. There’s a buzz on set at the moment – this summer is going to be so big for everyone. So we’re all wondering how everything will come to a head.
“There’s a lot in store for Abi, Lauren, Steven and Josh, and so I can’t wait for it all to be on screen.”
Dramatic episodes are already right around the corner for Abi, as she confesses to Steven that Lauren went and had an abortion behind his back, taking revenge against her sister in the most traumatic way possible.
Fitzgerald has now hinted that this is just the beginning of Abi’s bad behaviour, with the young Branning offspring following in her father Max’s footsteps.
She teased: “I’m not sure Max is above taking revenge on his own daughter! However, Abi might think he’s got a good plan going – they could team up. It might just work, who knows?”
