Credit: BBCThe BBC have released the first images of Matt Di Angelo back in his role of Deano Wicks (Shirley Carter's son) in EastEnders, and it seems he's in trouble, or hiding from someone, as he acts suspiciously from the moment he steps foot back on the Square.
When pushed on just what it is he's running from, he tells his grandfather Stan Carter that it's an ex-girlfriend he doesn't want to come face to face with.
Credit: BBCThese scenes air on EastEnders later this month, on April 14 and April 15, and Dean's story is expected to continue to grow and change as he adapts to life back in Walford, with more of his family around him than ever before.
The last time we saw Matt as Deano was back in February of 2008, when he left EastEnders after his character went through a tough time in prison.
Shirley will be shocked to see her son return, as she still believes he's working in a bar in Australia, and it is Stan who informs her that Deano has removed the o from his name, and is much closer to home than she ever thought.
