Shirley gets more than she bargains for tonight when she decides to take Tina's love life into her own hands, storming down to the fire station to confront firefighter Tosh.

Not wanting to let the fierce Carter get the better of her, Tosh gets her revenge by blasting Shirley with a torrent of water from one of the hoses, much to the other firefighter's amusement.

Meanwhile, Alfie and Luke begin to bond while waiting for Kat and Stacey to come home, leading to Alfie getting more and more anxious and revealing a little too much information in an important phone conversation.

Elsewhere, Ian's not happy with Cindy when he discovers she's been bunking off school, and goes a little too far in her new rebellious ways.
