Danny-Boy Hatchard joins the cast as Lee Carter / Credit: BBCThe BBC have released pictures of their new Carter family member - played by Danny-Boy Hatchard.
Danny-Boy will be stepping into the role of Danny Dyer's and Kellie Bright's on-screen son Lee Carter, who's just returned from his time as a soldier in Afghanistan.
“I’m incredibly excited to be a part of EastEnders, a show that my family and I have watched for years. It’s an honour to have the chance to share the camera with such talented actors and I can’t wait to get cracking and join the Carter family.” he said.
Lee's just as happy as his parents Mick and Linda to be living back at home, but pulling his weight around the pub doesn't seem to be one of his priorities.
While his family think he's returned home because of necessity, Lee's harbouring a secret from his past which sees him wanting to stay on the Square indefinitely and never return to the army again.
Danny-Boy is to film his first scenes for Eastenders in February.
