EastEnders' Denise Fox is to end up in bed with bad boy Phil Mitchell later this week following a boozy heart-to-heart.
The Minute-Mart manager - portrayed by Diane Parish - will be given her wake-up call over the next coming days after she has a fumble with her long-time arch-enemy (Steve McFadden) after she hits the bottle following some bad news.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Diane said: "When our boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins told me, I got up and ran around his office, screaming! Steve is the most wonderful actor, and I was thrilled to be able to do some interesting work with him. I have such a huge respect for the man."
The brunette beauty turns to booze after she learns her daughter Libby Fox (Belinda Owusu) is pregnant with her first child - but has already decided to abort the unborn tot.
Diane added: "She [Denise] just can't comprehend the idea that Libby wants to get rid of the baby. I think Denise is desperate to be a grandmother, and just doesn't want her daughter to make a decision she might live to regret."
Although Phil - who is at death's door with cirrhosis - doesn't remember the tryst with Denise when he wakes up sober the next morning, their naughty antics are set to come out after Denise accidentally drops her golden necklace at his home.
