Ian's had a tough time in EastEnders as of late, and things are only going to get harder for the soap's longest running active resident.

He's left shocked in upcoming scenes when his daughter Cindy goes into labour after returning to the Square.

At first oblivious to her condition, he couldn't be more unprepared as she seeks comfort and help from her father in the time she needs him most.

It's a race against time as Ian phoning an ambulance for Cindy, could they arrive or will he be forced to play midwife and help deliver the baby at home?
