EastEnders' Kat Moon will fear for her unborn babies' life when she takes a tumble in the BBC One soap.
The loud-mouthed market stall holder - played by Jessie Wallace - and her happy-go-lucky beau Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) were ecstatic after they discovered on Christmas day (25.12.13) that they are expecting their first baby together.
However, the pair look set for a bumpy ride after the feisty brunette - who also has son Tommy with the late Michael Moon (Steve Shepherd) - has a nasty fall and is left clutching her stomach on the kitchen floor.
Alfie later finds his ex-wife, who he reunited with last month, and rushes her to the hospital, where doctors encourage Kat to undergo tests to check if her baby has been harmed.
Meanwhile, Shane recently said he believes his alter-ego and Kat "belong together" because they have so much history.
He said previously: "Alfie and Kat belong together. Nothing makes sense in this world unless there's a Kat and Alfie, but the audience will be split, I should imagine. A lot of people root for Kat and Alfie because there's an 11 year history there.
"He tried to carry on his life without Kat, but it hasn't been easy. Also Kat has changed. She's not the Kat who did what she did. They've both moved on.."
