Garry is tired and emotional - he returns to Shirley and Heather's flat. He explains the truth - Hazel did love Minty. He thought he had been doing the right thing. Hazel asked him to lie to Minty, to paint her as a villain. But now Minty blames him. Heather laps up the attention she can give him. Garry calls round to see Minty, optimistic they can patch things up. But when he arrives he takes in the carnage and sees his belongings in bags. Minty slams the door in his face, takes his keys and chucks his stuff onto the road. Ian calls a secret Family meeting just him and the kids about Christian. "It's not so much what he is. It's who he's bringing back here. And what they are getting up to." Ian takes a family vote - Christian has to leave. Garry and his big black eye are sparked out asleep on the sofa at Shirley's flat. Heather is chuffed to bits to have Garry under the same roof and tries to put frozen peas on his black eye
