Garry (wearing a too small Stetson) and Hazel are sitting waiting in the registry office. She tells him that he looks good in his Stetson. Hazel tells Garry it is a shame that Lynne couldn’t join them. Garry blames it on the short notice. Hazel tells him about Gerald (the groom) in embarrassing detail. Hazel suddenly announces that she can’t go through with it and rushes outside. Garry comments that he thought this time would be different as Hazel tries to explain that she gets swept away by the romance. They set off on the scooter. Garry and Hazel arrive at Gerald’s house. Hazel runs in and grabs a photo album which she hands to Garry. He starts to look through it as Hazel gets the rest of her things. Gerald arrives home and hollers for Hazel. Garry slopes outside. He puts the photo album in the pannier and turns on his mobile to find 7 missed calls from Minty. He calls him back. Minty frantically asks Garry if he’s getting married. Garry reassures him that it was an old mate’s wedding and that he’s on his way back to the Square. Gerald and Hazel come out of the house arguing. He accuses Garry of being Hazel’s toy boy and punches him on the nose. Minty reassures Naomi that Garry is okay. Hazel explains to Garry that she had told Gerald she was 42 which is why she didn’t say that Garry was her son. Garry admits that Lynn and he split up ages ago. Garry drops Hazel off at a cab office. She suggests staying with him but Garry’s not keen. He says his goodbyes and heads off but guilt gets the better of him and he drives back to pick her up telling her that it is only for one night.
