Dot’s still annoyed with Jim because he asked for Yolande’s help. A sour Dot tells Yolande that Mr Papadopoulos wants her to have Pauline’s job permanently, and if it’s too much Yolande can do both shifts full time. Dot throws off her overall and quits. Dot receives a letter from Sonia which reveals her and Martin will never return to the Square.Peggy enthuses about the wedding but Phil says there’s no rush - they don’t want a big deal. Peggy realises that Stella had something different in mind. Peggy tells Stella they’re having a champagne reception in the Vic, but not to tell Phil, as it’s a surprise for Stella. Ben angles to get out of play scheme but Stella threatens to tell Phil they lied if he doesn’t go. Phil spies Ben hiding in the corner of the café. Phil blames Stella for Ben hiding, eating sweets with the money she gave him. She says Ben made her lie. Peggy proposes a toast. Phil tells Ben he doesn’t want any more lies and he will help with the bullying. Phil tells Stella that Ben’s got to stand up for himself, Stella points out he shouldn’t push him to be someone he’s not. Rob worries about May’s next move. May makes a call which will financially ruin Rob and his plans with Dawn. Ian, Jane and the kids arrive at the Fowlers to clean it up. Ian reveals the couple renting their place are signing the lease tonight, so they’ve got to move their stuff out. Lauren tells Lucy the Fowler house is haunted by Pauline’s ghost. Billy overhears and tells her kids are more susceptible to spirits. Ian tries to persuade the kids the house isn’t haunted. Jane points out that the ashes are in the house where Martin left them. Lucy sees and is horrified. Ian tries to get them to stay the night but Jane says not until they get a new bed. Jane and the kids leave Ian alone. He shivers, slightly spooked himself. Phil talks to Ian’s new tenants and tells then the deal with Beale. Ian tells Jane they’ve been ‘Mitchelled’ again as the tenants, Danny and Jessica, have pulled out of the agreement. Tanya can’t understand why all the clients haven’t shown up for their appointments as Mo turns up with an army of pensioners clamouring for their free perm. Tanya tries to get out of it, but Mo threatens to tell the press and Tanya is forced to agree.
