Stella is in her nightdress gluing the pages of Phils accounts book together. She brings Phil breakfast in bed and shows him the book. She tells him not to be angry with Ben but Phil snatches the book and leaves. Phil confronts Ben but Ben denies doing it and looks at Stella. Phil tells him to stop lying, Stella calms him down and says shell deal with it. Stella tells him hes scared Phil will see hes weak and frightened and he wont love him. She tells him she wont let that happen, Ben needs her, and to trust her. Phil approaches Vinnie Franks, the dad of Jez the bully. He marches Vince into the toilets, sending him sprawling to the ground. Phil nurses his bruised knuckles and tells Stella that Ben wont get bullied anymore. Stella points out that Ben will just feel worse because he didnt stand up to them himself. She tells him not to say that he sorted it. Stella tells Ben that Phil has dealt with the bully but is ashamed of him and wants him to stop blaming her. If Ben wants her to continue to protect him, he has to give her a reason why she should. She tosses the glued accounts book on the bed and goes. Stella and Phil get ready to go out when Ben comes in and apologises for gluing Phils book together.Ian takes the ashes to the night café and sees Dot. Hes slightly unnerved when Dot tells him Pauline will watch over him when he moves into the Fowlers house. The kids discover the urn is in the café and Jane is horrified. Lucy still wont move in Paulines following them.Jim tells Yolande that Dot wont see her, but Yolande says shell carry on opening the launderette as usual and if she wants to quit, Dot will have to tell Mr Papadopoulos herself. With Yolande gone, Jim tries to understand whats wrong but Dot wont tell him anything. Dot enters and Yolande hopes that shes reconsidered about the job. But when Dot coldly asks for a service wash Yolande decides to call Mr Papadopoulos.. Dot goes to the launderette. Yolande tells Dot shes turned down the job. Dot apologises, saying she would have felt the same with anyone who took over from Pauline. Yolande says Dot will have to accept that Pauline is dead. Jim tries to persuade Dot to come home, but she carries on sweeping the launderette. Ian enters carrying the urn, will Dot do him a favour and keep Paulines ashes safe? Dot sits alone with Paulines ashes. She tells Pauline that she finally understands why she pushed everyone away, shes been doing it herself with Jim. Its terrible not to feel needed. Yolandes made her realise that she still has value and a purpose. Ian tells the kids that Dots got the ashes, and bribes the kids to stay in the house. Jane points out he promised her a new bed. Phils signing for a bed and calls to Billy for a hand. He tells Billy not to call him Phil, hes pretending to be Ian Beale. Peggy announces that Ians downstairs. Ian demands his bed back, but Phil denies all knowledge. Honey and Billy bounce on their new bed, delighted. An annoyed Jane makes up a bed for herself on the sofa and wonders where Ians going to sleep.Mickey moans to Darren that he cant keep up with Li who is still out clubbing. Darren asks asks whether hes found out why Lis so flush. When Mickey tells Darren that Li got lucky with an internet café going out of business and she picked up a load of computers, Darren hints at what happened to Billy last week but Mickeys still confused. Darren tells Mickey that women are devious; Lis made him wear the spoils of robbing Billy so hes implicated. Libbys checking her face as Darren enters and announces they are stopping the site, he doesnt want pictures of Li on there anymore. Darren wonders why shes not wearing her glasses and is she wearing lipstick? Libby tells him not to be stupid and leaves. Darren looks at the computers history and sees shes been looking at a lonely hearts networking website.Dawn finds Rob brooding, hes worried. Rob reveals he packed Dawns stuff so they could stay with his parents for a while. May is in the Vic buying Jane a drink for the info on Rob. Jane thinks she should put it behind her now and May agrees. They toast to a new beginning. May comes home, drunk and tired. Robs left a message on the answer phone, saying hell be at his parents house in Kent. He twists the knife by adding hell be introducing his folks to the mother of their grandchild.
