Ian is horrified by Ben’s revelation. Ben begs him not to say anything. Ian marches up to Phil and ask him if he knew his psycho girlfriend was beating up Ben. Phil goes for Ian but Max intervenes. Ian says he’ll show him the bruises. Ben appears and Phil goes after him. Stella tries to follow but Ian says she’s done enough. Ben shows Phil the bruises. Ian tells Phil he should call the police but Phil insists he speak to Ben alone. Ian leaves saying he won’t let Phil sweep it under the carpet. Phil questions Ben about his bruises. Ben admits it was the boys at school. Phil can’t believe Ian would stoop so low as to get Ben to say Stella hit him. He grabs hold of Ian. Ben listens outside the door.Stella tells Peggy that its Ben just being a child. She says she’ll show Ben there are no hard feelings. Ben is terrified and runs up stairs. While Phil’s out getting a take away, Stella goes into Ben’s room but finds it empty. Ben is hiding in the arches when Stella finds him. She looks at him then turns and closes the door, locking it from the outside. Stella unlocks the door and tells him he’s caused a lot of trouble. She insists he hugs her and says they are still friends. She says he needs more time to think and leaves him in the arches, locking the door as she goes… Dawn sits on the edge of the hot bath. She drinks more vodka. Dawn’s phone rings - it’s Rob and she throws it at the wall, and starts to cry. Seeing Rob’s worry, May jokes that Rob may have really fallen for Dawn. Garry bangs on the door of Dawn’s flat but there’s no answer, Carly produces the spare key. Carly finds Dawn passed out on the bathroom floor with an empty vodka bottle beside her. Rob sees an ambulance pull up outside Dawn’s flat. Dawn lies on the floor, conscious but not answering. Rob tries to go to the ambulance with her but Garry stops him. Dawn gets into the ambulance and May tries to talk to her. Carly warns her off and leaves in the ambulance. Mickey and Keith dash into hospital. Rob turns up and begs Dawn to give him five minutes to explain. Mickey and Keith are shocked when Dawn agrees. Rob tells Dawn he loves her but just didn’t realise it before now. Dawn tells him she fell for it once but she never will again. Max says he’s booked Stacey a holiday with her mum. Max tells Stacey he knows it’s hard for her to see him with Tanya and that’s why he’s booked the holiday. Stacey realises he’s buying himself a hassle free week, Stacey tells him she still wants her five minutes. Tanya asks Max why a holiday company have called. Max hastily covers. Max says he’s got to go and sort out a credit card mess. He texts Stacey, saying he’s on his way. Jane is heading over to the party when she sees Ian. Jane can’t believe that Stella would hit Ben. Ian’s furious and when Billy comes in asking if he can rent the Fowler place Ian tells him he’d rather burn it down and to ask Phil if he wants to know why. Jane tells Ian if anything’s going on with Ben Phil will sort it. Ian tells Jane he wants them to move to the Fowler house. Yolande is surprised to see Dot and Jim at the laundrette still. Jim’s not sure that Dot will thank anyone for helping her but Yolande says she doesn’t care.
