Ben sits at the window looking pale, he feels his bruised stomach. Ben’s upset that Stella’s idea of standing up the bullies didn’t work. He doesn’t want to go to school. Stella threatens to tell Phil and a confused Ben agrees to go. Phil, Max and Stella talk about Ben going to Lauren’s party and agree it will be good to bury the hatchet. Stella guilt trips Ben into going to Lauren’s party. He’s confused because she told him to stay away from Abi. Tanya is delighted Ben’s coming to the party. Phil and Stella plan to go out for dinner. Ian criticises Phil for not going to the party saying he and Jane wouldn’t miss it. Stella thinks perhaps she and Phil should look in on the party before dinner. Ben is in the kitchen. Tanya suggests she bring Abi in but Ben wants to stay with Ian. Ian spills a drink on Ben and tells him he’ll get a spare t-shirt from Tanya. Ian is stunned to see Ben’s bruises when he takes off his shirt. Ian asks Ben what happened, was it Phil? Ben says it was Stella… Dawn barges into May’s flat. They argue about Rob. Dawn realises May knew about the affair and thinks that she told Rob to end it. May tells her she told Rob to start the affair to keep Dawn sweet and he only wants her for one thing, the baby. Dawn confronts Rob. May is unrepentant for what she said to Dawn. Rob is astonished at her coldness. Carly tells Dawn she knows about Rob dumping her. A determined Dawn says that she knows why and she knows what to do about it. Carly tells Garry and he goes to find her. Dawn tells Garry that Rob’s ancient history and leaves. Garry is troubled when he sees the phone book is open at the clinic page. Rob accosts Dawn as she leaves the flat. May says in six months Dawn will have a new man and May will have her baby. Dawn demands to see a doctor at the abortion clinic and is told there’s no way she can have an abortion. Dawn goes into the Vic and asks for a double vodka. She asks for another drink. Rob and May try to talk to her but Dawn throws a drink in May’s face. Garry escorts Dawn back into the flat. He leaves, Dawn picks up a bottle of vodka and heads into the bathroom. Dawn’s in the bathroom running a steaming hot bath. She pours herself a large glass of vodka and drinks it. Honey tells Jane the Fowler house would be perfect for her, Billy and Janet. Jane points out the Fowlers will be more expensive than their current flat. She persuades Jane to have a word with Ian. Jane talks to Ian, she suggests Ian rents the Fowlers to Billy and if it’s empty that squatters might move in. Jean turns up on Stacey’s stall with holiday brochures. Stacey ends up telling her she’s already booked something. Stacey wants to see Max tonight but he has Lauren’s party. Stacey turns up at Max’s with a present for Lauren. Max asks her what she’s playing at. Stacey says no one will notice if they slip away for 5 minutes. Dot tells off the helper in the launderette for taking on too many service washes. Yolande tries to talk to Dot who is snowed under at the laundrette. Dot rejects her offer of help thinking Yolande is saying she can’t cope.
