Rob wakes up next to Dawn. She reminds him that he has to tell May about them today. Rob tells May that Dawn wants him to leave her today. Dawn approaches Carly with an attempt at an apology. Dawn’s explained to Carly that Rob is telling May that he’s leaving her. Carly points out that Dawn trapped him. Dawn sits and waits for Rob’s call. Dawn is still waiting, the doorbell rings and she flies to the door where she finds May. She tells Dawn that she’d heard she was back and just wanted to make sure she was okay. She hasn’t seen Rob today as he had already left when May got home. May heads off and Dawn calls Rob – she’s furious and wants to know why he hasn’t told her yet. Rob tells her that he can’t tell May – it will destroy her. Dawn hangs up and storms out of the house. Dawn approaches May in the Vic and an argument ensues. Rob comes home and May tells her that it all went well with Dawn but she’s exhausted from her performance. Rob tells her that she’s amazing. May points out that now Dawn has seen how fragile May is she won’t be a problem anymore. Rob holds her and unknown to him, her composure cracks slightly - a tear slides down May’s face…Carly enters the living room and is appalled to see Shirley asleep on the sofa. Carly tells Deano that he has to choose between Shirley and her. Deano’s explained to Shirley about Carly’s ultimatum. He tells her he was embarrassed by how drunk she got last night. She tells him she’s not going to stop drinking so that’s another choice he’s got to make. Deano follows Shirley to the café. Shirley tells him that he lets Carly push him around too much. Pat tells Shirley that she needs to try harder at being Deano’s mother rather than falling down drunk and embarrassing him. Shirley apologises to Deano – she’s trying but she’s going to make mistakes now and again. He’s won over. Shirley wants to know what she can do for Peggy to make it up to her for her drunkenness last night. She offers to organise something for Comic Relief. Carly finds Deano and tells him that Pat’s explained about last night. Deano tells her that he’s chosen Shirley over her. He’s fed up of Carly bullying him.A man and woman approach Mo looking for cheap cigarettes – they are from Customs & Excise. They want to search her house. They find one carton of cigarettes. Mo claims to have bought a couple of cartons too many when she was on holiday. They think they must have missed something as there have been complaints. C&E are about to leave when Charlie appears with the flattened cartons – he’s on his way to the dump but wanted string to tie the boxes with. Mo is taken away in a car. Mo tells Charlie she’s up in court on Thursday for tax evasion.
