A hung-over Stacey comes downstairs to find Sean clearing up the mess left from the party. She heads to the window and looks over at Max’s house. She grabs her money belt and leaves. Sean finds Tanya’s purse amongst the debris. Stacey tells Max they’ve got her house to themselves later on. Sean tries to wind Max up. Max makes an excuse to Stacey – he can’t stay. Max goes to the loo and Stacey sees a text from Tanya and hides his phone behind the cushions on the sofa. She persuades Max to stay. Max’s mobile rings in the Slater’s empty living room. Max is annoyed with Stacey for hiding his mobile. Stacey tells Max that he shouldn’t lie to her – she’s not his wife. Tanya thanks Max for looking after Stacey last night. She reminds him about their counselling session – it’s important to her that they attend it. The electricity cuts out so Preeti goes to look for a sparky’s number. Sean returns Tanya’s purse to her, taking the opportunity to flirt with her and ignore Chelsea. He tells her that he could’ve helped with the electrics. He gives her his number which she drops in the bin and heads out. Chelsea ignores him when Sean asks her where Tanya is going. Preeti tells Chelsea not to let Sean get to her. She admits that Tanya and Max are having marriage counselling but that it isn’t a big deal. She checks her watch and leaves a message for Max – they are late for counselling. Tanya is annoyed that Chelsea hasn’t chased the electrician. Preeti suggests calling Max – he’ll be able to help them. Tanya tells her not to bother – he’ll be too busy to help them. She fishes Sean’s number out of the bin. Chelsea tells Sean that he’s only been asked to help because Max and Tanya are having problems – she admits they are having counselling. Tanya enters and warns Sean that he’d better know what he’s doing with the electrics. Sean is working by the light of a candle that Tanya is holding. He asks her to come closer but she just tells him to get on with it. He tells her that if he thought he didn’t have a chance he wouldn’t waste his time flirting but them going to counselling suggests that things are rocky… Tanya is shocked and tells him to go. He agrees but asks Tanya why he’s the one helping her if everything is fine. He blows out the candle. The light goes on; Max is there and tells Sean to get out. He asks Tanya what’s going on and she is furious – pushed too far. Max tells Tanya that she should have called him. She points out that she did but he didn’t answer his phone. Max tells Tanya that he was going to give her an excuse for not going to the session but he thinks that she deserves the truth…! Max persuades Tanya that digging up his childhood is too difficult for him. She’s completely won over by his lies. He asks that the next time she’s annoyed with him not to involve Sean.In the Vic, Sean offers to buy Chelsea a drink to apologise for being rude to her earlier. Stacey blanks Max. He phones her mobile but she ignores it. Max leaves a risqué message for Stacey which is overheard by Sean who knows that Max wasn’t talking to Tanya…Bert examines his bloodshot eye. He tells Jay that he’s going to get a job. Bert’s demoralised after the job interview. Gus reminds him about the road sweeper vacancy. He agrees to look over the application form. Gus tells Bert that the council is looking for another road sweeper. Pat tells Bert that he needs to show Jay that he cares about him. She suggests that Bert go with Ian to watch the boy’s match. Ian grudgingly agrees that Bert can go with him. Billy tells Gus he’s got the DVD in that he was asking about. Gus admits that he bought it from Li for £1 more than it would have cost him to rent it. Darren is furious that Li can’t pay him back. Libby reminds him that they no longer need the money – they’re rolling in it. Ian is annoyed with Bert who’s using the café phone as his own. Bert gets a job interview which means he’ll miss Jay’s match. Gus helps Bert with his application form but when they reach the health section Bert gets cold feet. He makes excuses about it all being a waste of time. Bert is bathing his eye when Pat arrives and gives him a hard time for missing Jay’s match. She’s been speaking to Gus and can’t understand what Bert’s problem is. Jay returns and tells him that he got sent off for hitting someone. Pat is appalled as they talk through the punch.Darren and Libby put a picture of Li on their website – they took the photo on a camera phone. They’re going to get the money that Li took from them without her knowing! Honey wants to take Janet swimming and explains to Billy that it’s good for Janet. He reluctantly agrees that Honey can take £20 from his wallet to buy Janet a swimming costume. Honey returns from swimming. It was a great success and Honey has put their names down for a mother and baby swimming course. Billy worries about the cost but Honey tells him she would like it as her birthday present from Billy. Billy looks through the post and sees a bill – he puts it in a drawer full of other unopened bills.
