Ian tries to comfort Martin as they prepare to leave for Pauline’s cremation. Martin is feeling guilty about Sonia. Ian and Martin return from the cremation. Ian tells Martin that Rebecca wants to see Sonia. The solicitor tells Martin and Ian that Pauline left the house to Martin but there are certain conditions that he has to adhere to.Pat tells Kevin that Shirley has told her his secret. Carly enters and Kevin covers. Carly exits and Kevin tells Pat he doesn’t know what to do – Shirley is holding all the cards. Carly shares her concerns about Kevin’s behaviour with Deano. Pat encourages Kevin to tell Carly and Deano the truth. Shirley is slightly suspicious of Carly’s motives when she invites her for a coffee. Denise wants to know what is wrong with Kevin but he tells her that he’s fine. Shirley visits Deano – he’s not interested in what she has to say. Shirley soon realises that Carly only wanted to meet for coffee to find out what is wrong with Kevin. Carly leaves abruptly when Shirley tells her that she doesn’t know what’s wrong. Carly tries to trick Kevin into telling her what is wrong with him but he realises what she’s up to. Kevin advises Carly to stay away from Shirley. Shirley tells Denise that she doesn’t know what she is defending.

Carly tells Deano that she knows Kevin is lying to them. She tells him to ring Shirley. Shirley visits Deano and is surprised when Carly enters. Pat arrives home and is hugely worried. Carly and Deano are grilling Shirley when Kevin arrives home and gets rid of Shirley. They push Kevin to tell them what is going on.

Carly bumps into Dawn who tells her that she didn’t have the abortion because Rob turned up. She tells Carly that Rob and she are back together.

Dawn calls round to Rob and May’s to see Rob – she doesn’t realise that May is home. Rob and Dawn make an excuse for her arrival. When May leaves, they kiss. Later, when May returns home, they are still together. Stella apologises to Phil about Sonia. Ben interrupts them – he’s had a dream about the bridge. Phil comforts him leaving Stella feeling left out. Phil leaves Stella to look after Ben. Ben demands Stella get comics and DVDs for Abi and him. Stella reprimands him but Ben tells Abi that he’s going to get rid of Stella.
